Good day people , Just want to say thank you for all the awesome info i have found in this forum. I joined this forum approx a year ago during which time i purchased an old 20 foot Crestliner 228 mercruiser with a blown engine. Since then i have installed a 350 in place of a 305, 1 new manifold (cracked) , 1 elbow (rusted out), and 1 Lower unit (rock) hahahaha, and 1 waterpump (worn out) all with the assistance of this forum.
The original owner complained the boat was hard to plain because of lack of power and i certainly don't have that problem now
he had a 19 inch prop on it and i have increased it to a 21 , rpm will still reach 5500 no problem and i am considering a 25 inch mirage prop , but looking for opinions thank you again
