If You're going that far replace them all, when I ordered a PH gasket set it even came with the top and bottom crank seals, those are not too easy to replace so it is good do it when You are there JMHO.

Yeah id do a whole gasket set, and id agree with whats written above about the seals, lifting the powerhead to do that again would be a real long double handling

Re: New gaskets

Sounds like all I need is a heated garage.I thought doing the complete set was the best idea.I bought the motor last year (craigslist) learned my lesson there. What a mess I ended up with.Alot of work but she finally came to life. All last season she ran pretty good.I also got 6 carb kits. All parts are OEM so it all should match up perfect.Well I'll have to read the book before this project.

Re: New gaskets

That is what's great about this site, I bought mine after I found it on CL too and it was more than a project (complete rebuild), now it runs and I can't wait for the ice to break so I can launch it again this season all thanks to many helpful folks who give from their knowledge and experience.
