Kind of late in the year, but price was right and couldn't pass this little one by.

I got rid of the 20' Tiberias with 4 banger volvo early this Spring. It was too much of a headache and the parking issues caused us not to use it.

The new toy is a 1987 15' Henry O Mckee w/a 40HP Mariner. I understand it was built before McKee sold out to Taylor. The boat is a bit of a tub, but we're excited about this one (I have boys 4 & 7). It is rated for 5 people and an 80 HP. It is a real solid boat and the dual console design works well for us (putting with the boys or a little fishing in crabbing nearby).

It should be a little easier to manuever the boat/trailer out of the drive (neighbors park along the road at the end of our drive) and I can even fit the rig in our awkward facing garage.

We have a little cleaning and painting to do. Going to take the boys for a spin this weekend and then probably put it up for the season and wrap up all the loose ends.

I bet your boys will love it. Smaller is better, especially if you use it more.
It looks perfect for fishing & crabbing.
Crabs were still running in the Gunpowder last weekend.

Looks like you found a great boat. Good time of year to buy.

Nice downsize. Looks like you'll have a lot more fun with the boys in that rig.

thanks- the "use it more" comment is the key I hope to accomplish. Nice to have nice solid hard surfaces and no carpet in sight.

looks good, solve your parking problems and have a hitch put on the front of your vehicle. you would be amazed how much easier it makes it.

Re: new downsized ride

I did a little bit of cleaing last night to remove the brown water stains. Got a couple of scuff marks to deal with next.

I wish it were so easy to solve my parking problems.

I think they would be easier to solve with a box of nails or a knife. Our road is narrow and sometimes I have trouble just getting my commuter car out of the drive. The neighbors have about 13 people living there and each has a work truck or van which they park along the road by our house. We live on a steep hill which further complicates the manuevering.

People have gone on a cursing tirade with us before about the road being blocked and I simply point them to the neighbors. It is one of the few ills of no HOA. The benefit is I can keep a boat in my drive, even if it is trouble getting out.

Sweet.
I've never seen a "dual" console setup like that.
