I really like this idea, thought this would be of interest to others for trolling . . .

I might spring for one :D

Here is their website that shows what it does. I have no connection to this product, I just came across this new product in a catalog. Might be available at iboats too.

I'll pick up one of the steering rods that connect my Merc 9.9 kicker to my main O/B so I can steer the kicker from the helm and I'm good to go trolling for Salmon, Lake trout etc.

Nice part of it's design is you still have full control of the kicker by just grabbing the kickers throttle handle as that over rides the controller unit in an emergency situation.

Check it out.

There is a link on the right on their site, One goes to a site that makes Aluminum jet boats, those are really cool. Another goes to some fishing site on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. I've always wanted to take my rig on that lake, but it's a 4.5 hour drive for me. I'd hate to go all that way and back (a 9 hour round trip) as with my luck, I'd hit windy weather and my boat is too small when the 3-4 foot waves kick up. Great boating lake though, I used to boat on it as a kid when I lived in the Boston area!

Discussed before; looks like it would work for 4 strokes, but doesn't look like it would work well for two strokes, where the idle is mostly controlled by the ignition timing advance linkage. Just opening the throttle butterfly on a two stroke at idle just floods it out.
