Just took delivery of a 2023 Chaparral Ssi with a Mercuiser 4.5. Did a one hour test cruise and the boat was great. Trailered the boat to our home and dropped in at the ramp and the engine died 3 minutes into the cruise. Would not turn over, no clicking or any noise. It seemed any low-power items (radio, NAV, lights) would still work but starter motor and trim would not. Dashboard display showed "0 signal" from the battery.
Got it towed to the dock and went through every connection and fuse I could reach. Read 12V anywhere I checked. Was able to get it started a number of times but every so often the issue would happen again.
Tried switching between battery 1, battery 2 and both - no change.
Obviously we have a call in to the dealer but does anyone have an idea where to start?

Start at the battery and follow the connections on both power and ground checking voltage and tightening all the way to the helm

The new motors have 12V stay alive power with fuses coming from the Bats. Might be a loose connection on the small wires or even a fuse not fully plugged in. Look for the fuses/wires at the Bats
