New bearings seem tight

I've just replaced and repacked the inners and outers as well as the rear seals on my wheels. I used marine grease and have the nut on finger tight. When I try to spin the wheel, it doesn't really spin but seems rather tight. Would this be due to the rubber on the rear seal? If so, does it gradually loosen up?

Thanks,
I'm Bud Duggly

As long as you are sure you got the races seated right then I would say that you are just feeling the resistance of the new grease! Marine grease is a lot thicker than automotive grease and you wount be able to (spin) the hubs! They will feel better when you install the wheels!

LubeDude
