Greetings all - got a rebuilt 350 in and am installing a mildly used San Juan heat exchanger (half system). My question pertains to the inlet/outlets of the HE - does the hot coolant from the engine go to the side of the HE where the seawater comes in or where it exits? Also, since it's a half system I'm getting the correct "divider" water tee to equally feed the exhaust manifolds. Also, can the manifolds/elbows be fed from the bottom water inlet or do the elbows need to be fed water also using divider tees? I have new elbow gaskets that have the two elongated water passage openings and two small round openings. If I get the gaskets with four elongated openings can I eliminate the elbow water feed?
