After 40 years of owning large cruising sailboats and Diesel Trawlers and being off the water the last three years, I bought a new Lowe A1257 for fishing and running about. Put a new 9.8 Tohatsu 4 stroke on it. Today is the first opportunity since I bought it two weeks ago to splash it. The weather has not been cooperating. Other than inflatable dingys and fiberglass ones, this is my first small boat. This ought to be an interesting day.

I'm impressed with this boat. I found it stable and a comfortable rider. I put about three hours on it in yesterday. Took some big waves and remained dry. Here are the improvements I am making. Installing two swivel seats, tiller extension, and a bimini top. With these mods, it will be more comfortable for longer rides. All in all, it is a good boat for the price.
