When putting boat on trailer Sunday i backed trailer down ramp and a buddy not so familier with motor ('96 Johnson 88)tried to start it and couldn't. I dont know if he flooded it or what but he kept messing with the throttle and putting it in and out of gear to the point that it would not crank at all, nothing. Finally he got back to the ramp and we winched it up. Back at the house I turned key for a second and it cranked. I think My neutral safety switch must be going bad. I think my control only has trim wiring exiting so is the switch on the motor itself? I have not started to look for it and will check my manual when I get home from work but any help would be appreciated.
