Neutral safety switch

I have a 1984 60 hp evinrude with a johnson command center remote and i am having a problem with the neutral safety switch. How do i bypass it to check if it is bad

To bypass... simply connect the terminals together BUT DO NOT leave it that way... dangerous and life threatening!

Usually, to adjust.... simply loosen the screws slightly, push it towards the lobe that actuates it, tighten the screws.

^^If you have located the switch, test for continuity between the two posts when the plunger is pushed and released. If working, adjust mechanical operation as needed.

I noticed you can pull the connections right out of the back so i am assuming it is bad

Believe those switches use slide on terminals/connectors. But if in doubt, it's about a $25 item.

Not if the part is no longer available it cost between 45-60 dollars plus shipping

switch part number for the command center controller, if you have it.
