Easiest way might be to go to an auto parts store and get a replacement adjustable dipstick which fits your engine oil tube. Fill the engine with the correct amount of oil. Insert the dipstick and remove it. See where the oil line lands on the stick. Adjust the locking stop-ring up or down so the mark is on the "Full" line. Lock the set screw and you should be OK. I do have to ask though: How did you lose the original dipstick? Hy
