Ok, I need to replace my Volvo Penta Volvo OEM Aluminum Propeller (3850302) and I'm wondering what brand is one of the better replacement props. The specs are:
  • Part(s): #3850302-5
  • Manufacturer: Volvo Penta
  • Brand:Volvo OEM
  • Material: Aluminum
  • Diameter: 14 - 1/4
  • Pitch: 21
  • Blades: 3
  • Rotation: Standard (Clockwise)
I'm simply looking for the best replacement for the money.

Thanks in advance.

The Solas props have good reputation. Michigan Wheel has been around for almost 100 years.
Don't worry about the exact diameter. Anything within 1/4 of an inch is good if it is intended for your boat.

Thanks for the response. My original prop has a solid center but I notice a lot of these new props have a rubber center add on. How do these work or should I stay with my solid core. My original prop was 15 years old and didn't have a scratch on it as we boat in a very deep and clean lake. Someone backed into my prop while on the lift at the lake and bent it. Funny but true.

Volvo outdrive selection numbers can be a mystery to those not well acquainted.
But basic prop selection is pretty straight forward and we do know your gear ratio 1.60.
As far as I know all props had a rubber cushion hub probably since the 50s and 60s.
Maybe you could post a picture.
You could probably get your prop repaired. If your thinking new this may be the time to tweak your selection a little.
Do you know your lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed?
