Need to order parts...no idea what engine I have.

Hey guys,

I need to order some parts for my omc but have no idea what engine/outdrive I have. I tried to google and search here but can't find the info I need. Here are the numbers I have and any help would be great. Thanks!!

tag on outdrive: model:983842
serial: T0433008
tag inside near transom: model: 983900
Serial: T003928
Stamped on engine near head: T0175KS
T0902138

What Year is the Boat,..??..??...

How Many Cylinders is the Motor,..??..??....

Is it a Chevy, or Ford,..??..??......

Ayuh,.........

With a short Description,.... I could possibly tell What his motor is,...........

'course,..... With, or Without #s,...... I don't have the resources that You have,......
So I won't be able to tell him Who bought the boat it came in.........

And,...........
Just because some Poor Soul went,+ bought a boat with an Obsolete Marine Company motor in it,.......
I won't hold it Against 'em,..... 'ell,...... I even lend a hand to Bilgeliner Owners.......

After All,......... A Motor is a Motor to Me...........

Don't have my book handy but those numbers sound like late 80s to mid 90s numbers.Knowing the year and number of cylinders sure would help..

Pictures of Engine and Outdrive would be a lot of help.

the boat is an '86 and its a gm 6 cyl.

Loos like a late model small block chevy. What year is the boat? The serial # on the right rear of your boat, the last 2 #s​

it's a 4.3 OMC Cobra

and it wouldn't hurt to clean the front anode on the drive.

I agree....I'll clean them when I replace the prop and try to repair the broken & bent skeg. The prvious owner should have bought a depth finder....or at least looked over the side!
