Need to know year of Evinrude?

Just picked up a 15 HP Evinrude Model #10424S Serial #E0004565. Any info will help.

That engine is a 1974 9.9hp Evinrude, not a 15hp.

wow, it says 15 HP on the cowl. Well it could just me a different cowl or stickers??? The thing you learn about. Thanks guys.

The 1974 9.9hp Evinrude and Jjohnson models could be upgraded to a 15hp simply by installing a 15hp carburetor. You can tell the difference easily by comparing the throat of the carburetor you have with another known 9.9 or 15 carburetor. Inquire from the seller.
