i have a johnson 5.5 with model number cd21a i am guessing it is early 70s . has round cavitation plate, 2 blade prop, and is painted white, with orange lettering.<br />thanx

Book says it's a 1964 model. (CD21)

Yup. Like Trent said, MercMerc, it's a 1964, 5.5hp. Use Champion J4J plugs gapped at .030, gap the points at .020, and use 24:1 fuel mix.<br /><br />Grrreat li'l engine.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
