I've been reading some of the topics and responses and have run across the acronym WOT. What does this refer to?? Forgive me I assume it is pretty easy to understand - just not sure if I got the meaning correct.

Thanks.

It is the opposite of CTP (closed throttle position) and means Wide Open Throttle.

I agree with DHADLEY, "WHERES OUR TAVERN", great response when everthing is not running right.

Just make sure you only WOT in the water under load - or in a test tank with a test wheel replacing the prop - or you'll blow your engine.

Never on dry land - never with just a muffler

Thanks for the comfirmation of my suspicions of the meaning of WOT. On the lake I grew up on the "Where's Our Tavern" could have been any one of six on a lake in Wisconsin!

Thanks to all who helped me out.
