need to know hp and year by serial number #A127041

i have a merc inline 6 not sure what size or year..i was told it was a 115 but not sure...is it possible to run the serial..i tried at mercury parts express but came up with no results..the serial number is A127041 if anyone can help it would help greatly thanks

Thats because that is not the serial number.
It should have 7 numbers in it like, 5314656 or higher.

oh ok, maybe thats for the power trim im not familiar with these motors...the tag with that serial # was on the mount/power trim..not sure where the serial for the motor is located im gonna try and find it...thanks for the info i appreciate it

though with the A it is 7 caractors long...i have seen a chart and some years did have a letter in the beginning...but like i said im not sure about these motors

Engine serial number 0A127041 is a 1985 MERCURY 115 ELPT Model number 1115625.

My bad, I was not thinking, Its an O/B not an I/O. DUH...
