Hi,
Someone offered me to but the boat below, I know only the following:

1. Caravelle year 2000
2. width: 5.42 cm length: 2.20 cm
3. Mercrusier 3.0 liter

My question is which model is it of Caravelle ? where can I see real reviews on this model for the year. is it a worthy boat to buy for ski ?

I think you've got the dimensions a bit mixed up , however I believe that's a 176 bowrider model.

Looks like it has not been licensed and NADA says it's worth around 4700 with trailer

Welcome aboard rleitman:

542 x 220 sounds about right for a 17.5' boat I/O.

If you're thinkin' about buying it, condition vs. price is the big deal in used boats. Caravelle isn't a premium brand, but well cared for it can be a decent boat. What level of skier are you? If you're just starting out, then that boat'll do okay. If you're novice to advanced, you might be happier with a dedicated ski boat.

Says 176 on the bow, and also on the side window, so I think that is a safe bet it is a 176. I own a 2001 188, nearly the same boat, but with the 4.3 volvo in it. They are pretty well built boats, and the interior on that 176 looks like it has been kept dry and clean. Make sure the floors are solid and the motor and drive are in good condition. Caravelle does not seem to have many issues with soft decks even though this era of boat has wood decks with glued in carpet. They seemed to have sealed up the wood a lot better than other makes at that time.

Check the bilge and ski locker for any signs of wood chips or damage.

Hope this might help some.
