Need to get my boat wet!!!!!!!

I just got my wire harness for 1975 johnson 50 hp, I was studing wire schematics and it looks like i can omit the junction box that is on my boat from the previous engine. Is this true?

harness# 473-9410

What engine were you running before?
The 50hp did not use anytype of junction box, the wiring should go from the controller to the engine.
