Hello fellow I-Boaters,

I am looking for a spare wheel for my old 1961 boat trailer. I have two good wheels and tires, but am afraid of hitting the road without a spare. What I need to find is an 8" rim with the center hup single nut. In other words, there are no lug-nuts, just the center nut screwed on the axle and a cotter pin. If anyone has one to sell or can recommend a source to find one, it woudl be greatly appreciated. I would rather not change out both of the axles to new hubs as this would probably run close to $200.

Thanks for everyone's help!
You can also e-mail direct @ adam@whitewaterrecording.com

I don't think Northern has the wheel you're looking for. After much searching, I got mine at Glen's Surplus Sales in Shelby, OH You can call them at 800-634-6470. It cost me $39.95 and came with the tire, bearings and dust guard. They can ship anywhere. I have an old Elgin Boat Trailer from the mid-1950s and put all new bearings on the trailer before using. I took the spare I bought from Glen's to have it machined out to match the bearings I am using.

Good Luck!
