I currently have a Larson LXI 226. My trailer is a tandem Venture trailer. I just purchased a Sea Doo (9' Long - 650 lbs), I would like to add on to the front of the trailer so that the Sea Doo would sit above the front of the boat. Does anybody know of any after market product that will allow me to do this or do I need to find a welder to custom make it?

Thanks for all your help on this.

Rob

Re: Need to customize trailer to carry Sea Doo

Bob have you thought about mounting it sideways on the trailer. I have a ChrisCraft 182 and a 95 seadoo sp my trailer is actually an EZLoader for about a 22' boat. I moved the winch post back on the trailer and did some playing with the Ubrackets and had friend of mine weld two cross bars across the front "Y" of the trailer. bolted on slats and use 2 tie downs across the seadoo. It works great when we go camping and I want to take both Im 1000 lbs under my tow limit with the rest of the truck loaded and all my passengers (its a big truck). Just remember the the seadoo can add up to 700, 800 lbs.
