Need the year of my Tohatsu 30 HP Outboard

I contacted Tohatsu to find out the the exact year of my motor because I need to order some parts. When I contacted them, they replied with:

"Thank you for stopping by our website. Unfortunately we don't have any
records matching your serial #. This is most likely because it's an older
Tohatsu model that was sold by a previous Tohatsu distributor. We took over
the distribution of Tohatsu in 1996. Motors sold prior to 1996 were handled
by a different distributor and we don't have any records of motors they
sold.

If it's a gray colored motor it would be between 1992 and 1996 (Tohatsu
changed from blue to gray in 1992). Prior to 1992, the motors were blue
with a blue or orange decal on the cowling. Year model is not important to
look up parts. Model number and serial number are what is needed. You may
find parts diagrams listed by year but that is just for convenience to help
you. Any parts diagram for your model number will be sufficient and if a
part changed the serial number range will be listed on that specific parts
page.

The motor is blue and the cowling is faded so I am not sure the color. It is a 30 HP Tohatsu Two Stroke outboard motor. It is currently hooked up with steering controls. The model plate reads:

M30A
346 16739
Tohatsu Corporation
Made in Japan

Under the cowling beside the cowling lock there is something else stamped:

Tohatsu Japan
346-67100-0

I ordered a CDI unit but it was the wrong one (https://marinepartssource.com/cd-module-cdi-electronics-119-2400) . The current CDI unit mounts with four screws and the one I ordered mounts with two (I should have been more observant when I ordered it). I removed the unit from my motor and on the back are some numbers:

FL1

I need help finding the correct CDI unit and water pump. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

They are correct. Year is irrelevant. Model/serial is what you need.
for serial above 35175, the CD is

C.D. IGNITION UNIT (CU2561)​

If you did test your old one as bad. For older CDs, they are NLA. Your serial 16739 is below the threshold for a new one.
As for WP kit:
Water pump repair kit. Includes all parts needed to replace water pump.
Fits:
25C2 & 25C3 2-stroke models
30A3 & 30A4 2-stroke models
40C 2-stroke model

So it looks like your motor is too obsolete to get an OEM CD box. You could check with CDI electronics to see if they have anything.
