Need the serial #

I am about to acquire a boat with a 165 MerCruiser, 1987. To transfer the registration, the State of Ohio requires a digital photo of the motor serial #. My question is: Where is the serial # located on the motor? Can't seem to find it.

There is a tag on the starboard, aft side of the engine block.
