i have a 1975 johnson 70hp my mechanic is saying my pistons have small little end bearings and pistons to suit were only ever made OEM and no aftermarket pistons are avaliable is he trying to con me into buying the second hand pistons off of him? as i was going to buy this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0168417158&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT

You need the WP15-1 conversion kit that converts rod from 5/8 to 3/4 wrist pin. ProMarine,Mar-Fab, Powerheadkit all have them and he must havent known about them.
