Hey everyone... seems like things just keep rolling in. I just bought this boat a 2001 Larson and had it surveyed. Now its about 2 months later and I don't recall seeing this or noticing it when I first bought the boat. However today I took a real good look and I am noticing 5 inch by 5 inch soft spots with gelcoat cracking on the deck above where the midcabin in my 26 foot cruiser is.
It's in the high traffic area from the rear to the cabin right over the unsupported midcabin area.
The deck seems unsupported in this area. However can that alone cause these cracks and soft spots?
Here are some pictures:
1) What the heck is going on?
2) A 2001 boat having these issues seem right?
3) How do I correct the problem?
Any Opinions/Help Appreciated. This one kinda has me freaking out that Im going to need a new deck floor on such a new Larson boat? Ouch!
Thanks for the help,
Peter
