i recently picked up a 5 hp ESKA outboard, (model 1705-F) and it runs pretty well but its a bugger to start, have to put alittle mixed gas in the cylinder to get it going. i think i need to replace the primer bulb tho, but my biggest issue is that the enrichner/idle dial didnt seem to be doing anything and upon further inspection the set screw had backed off and when you turned the dial the linkage line was slipping and not turing with it. i tightened the screw and it works good enough now but i would like to know where to set the dial in conjunction with the line linkage.....how many turns to which dial position etc if that makes sense. can anyone help me out ive looked everywhere and cant find this info anywhere.

thanks a bunch

run it all they way in and back it out 1 full turn. Then adjust from there
