Need some help identifying antique Evinrude outboard

I've recently dug this out of my father-in-laws garage. I'd like some help identifying it. Any info about it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Model number 4357 is a 1940 3hp

From the pictures a horizontally opposed twin ??

Thanks for the quick response! Do you know if it is useful to boaters/collectors? It seems like it is in pretty good shape. Wondering if anyone would have anymore information about it for me or could direct me to a source. I have googled to no avail...
