Need schematic for OMC 140 part number 990244s1

The wiring is a mess on a 79 pontoon that I picked up. Completely wrong. I am going to tear out what is there if I can get my hands on a schematic. If anyone has anything scanned or a link I would greatly appreciate it!!! I am mostly concerned with guage wiring at the moment but I do want to go threw the engine also.

I agree as most here do. You will find most any wiring drawing you will need in the sticky`s, and for the motor and controller, you will need to find the exact one for the year make and model. Boats actually have 2 independent wiring systems, one for the motor and one for ever thing else with the exception of a few instrument sensor wires for the gages.

If you go to the post list for this forum section, you will see that the top several posts are labelled "Sticky".

You can download an aftermarket service manual HERE that has wiring diagrams for your engine and the instrument panel for the engine. Boat systems (pumps, lights, horn, etc.) are not in this manual at all.
