Have been having some ign touble and was verifying resistances on Stator Charge coil, ect. Stator is fine but I am not certain about the timer base sensor coils. The book I have states the resistance for the timer base sensor coils for a 35 amp 1984 235 should be 40 ohms + - 10 between pins A&D, B&D, C&D. I read 11 ohms on pins A&D, B&D, C&D. I found a web site that mentioned the following:
Johnson/Evinrude Alternator Driven CD Ignitions 1978-1999 (continued) No fire or intermittent on One Cylinder:
Check the timer bases resistance from the white wire to the blue, green and purple wires. Reading should be 10-20 ohms. . Want to ensure I am not replacing a good component. I feel that the manual I have is correct and the web site I found is incorrect.
Thanks
