Does anyone have a line on a set of good pistons for this engine. I have the 636-8118 Rods. These are bottom guided rods and the pistons have boost ports.
The mercury part # is 7441 T36 (s) and 7442 T36 (p)
I'm looking for these in std 3.125 bore. I can find plenty of stb pistons, just can't seem to find the port pistons. Yup, you guessed it, #1 is trashed, #3 is hurt so go figure. I need a full set 6 Kits preferably with pins, rings, keepers, and would like bearings and washers if available.
I don't need a super race piston or anything of that nature. Just a stock piston.
I just looked and Merc seems to have them in stock but I have to buy them through MarineMax and would rather deal with someone else. Besides for what they are asking for a piston I can get the entire kit. I like dealing with Crowley but it's the same story. Price is outrageous.
