need part for outboard

I have a 7.5 gamefisher outboard made by Sears and Roebuck The coil is bad I tried to get one from Sears but they dont make it anymore They called it something else but it hooks on two the motor with two screws. It looks like a little green box that has a small wire connector on it that lets the wire from the points hook to it and then it hooks up too the sparkplug. I was wondering if anybody out there in outboard land had one and would want to sell it and how much.

Your Gamefisher was sold by MG, but made by someone else, Dyno.<br /><br />Give us the model number and perhaps someone can help you.

If I rember correctly, the coil is part of the magnito plate. You have to replace the whole assembly. I was able to find a parts motor, so i never tried to by new parts.
