This is a 1971 100HP Johnson with hydroelectric shift. No tilt and trim. V4. Yesterday while on the lake, I went to lower the motor into the water and the aluminum swivel bracket that swings up to hold the motor up for travelling broke in two pieces and sank. I was able to tie a piece of pipe under the motor to keep it elevated to get it home but I'd like to find a replacement part for this. I don't know a part number or nomenclature for this part but if anyone can help me find a replacement or at least help with a part name or number, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

was this part a U shaped bracket, that mounted on each side of the motor, and dropped when not in use, and when you tilted the motor, you would swing it up, to prop up the motor?
