I have had a Force 9.9 HP motor for about 3 years. When i got it tinkered with and i notice the water was not pumping. I recently had the water pump replaced. The carb was cleaned as well. It had been about 3 years since it ran. I had bought a new gas tank about 3 years ago as well.

When i got the motor back the other day i want to start it and check it out. On the first crank it started and ran for about 30 sec. I stopped it because there was not enough water in the bucket i was using. I work all day yesterday and i could not get it started. The fuel mix i use was 50:1 and the gas was about 6 months old ut had fuel stablizer in it. Any help would be appreciated.

Possible that the needle has stuck in the closed position. Not getting gas past the needle.Remove the carb and clean it.Sometimes tilting the motor full up and pulling on the starter will make gas flow.
You have spark?J

Re: Need Outbard starting help

Thank you Jerry, Yes i have spark, and good compression, i have fuel flow from the tank to the fuel pump too. I keep thinking it might be the primer on the motor itself because there seems to be no pressure. I also think i might have flooded the motor and i know the 2 cycle motors are a pain to deal with when they are flooded.
