I've checked the iboat store, my local Johnson dealer and poked around the internet looking for a OMC tank fitting. It's a standard ( I guess ) fitting that the fuel hose clips on to. It's a fitting that the hose locks onto..identical to the end that connects to the outboard. The same fitting is on each end of the hose. I really hate to have to buy a tank because the factory tank fits perfectly into the catch tray that is mounted to the boat floor ( under deck ). It also has a gauge built onto it. This seems weird a dealer doesn't have this piece.....

try wallyworld.(walmart)
I did. They only had the elbow type that threads into the gas tank. Mine is a square shaped piece that has four screws holding it to the tank. It's a plastic housing quick disconnect with a fuel gauge. Also a gasket between the connector and the tank. Thanks.

First you need to figure out how old the tank is. Do you think it is the one that came with the motor? Once you figure that out, it is easy to go to the BRP site and you will get the part number and even order it there. Or take the part number to the local dealer.

The tank and parts are shown with the motor's listings.

Thanks, I'll check that. It's a 96 model boat and figure it's the factory tank. It's a plastic 6 gallon (portable)OMC Syste-Matched tank.

I saved that link to desktop. It shows the piece I need however it said that it is a dealer stock item and wouldn't let me order online. grrrrrr. I'll call them Monday and try phone order. You've been a big help.. this may even solve my rpm's issue in another thread. Thanks. :)
