Re: Need new tachometer for Tohatsu M50D
The shop that worked on my engine said a signal was being sent to both the trim and tach but neither gauge worked. He said it was common for the gauges to fail after a couple years when exposed to the elements. Sounded kind of wierd to me but the work he did was outstanding and he didn't try to sell me any of his gauges because he doesn't normally work on Tohatsu's and he said his tachs wouldn't work on my engine. I think he was being honest.<br /><br />Anyway, Elvin does have a tach and I ordered one today. <br /><br />Thanks for your help.
