25 inch drive shift 18 splines on the driveshaft six flame on the shift shaft 15 spline on the prop shaft. My internal parts are good. I basically need the housing.

Swapping the gears over to a new housing is non-trivial. What is wrong with your gearcase housing? Weld it perhaps?

You might check the SEI gearcases. They may be cheap enough to just replace it entirely.

You cannot just swap parts into a different case, it would have to be all reshimmed

Thank you that is exactly what I was going to try. All my gears are good it's my case that was shattered trying to remove it to replace water pump. Too many years in salt water. Any other suggestions ?

Gee, that is a new one. Shattered when replacing water pump!

Not going to look into the new SEI gearcases?

Yes , tomorrow. It was almost welded on from salt water corrosion and we put a 2 x 4 on the fins. to try to separate it by beating on both sides. We beat it to hard and crack the housing.

So the gearcase was stuck to the midsection?

That makes some sense. You are lucky you were able to get it off at all. Don't forget to grease the driveshaft and shift shaft splines, when you install the new gearcase.
