DirecTv has set up channel 100 as a clearinghouse of all Katrina related info. <br />All info is broken down by state/region/city/county, etc<br /><br />They have info on road closures/openings and travel restrictions.<br /><br />Who to contact for giving aid, volunteering, donate goods and services.<br /><br />Who to contact to locate people, etc.<br /><br />Lots of phone numbers and websites.<br /><br />Large cable systems and other satellite systems may also be providing this info.

Also this<br />UPDATE<br /><br />Emergency Contact Service - post a message or search for a message <br />from a loved one who is affected by Hurricane Katrina.<br /><br />This service is beneficial to both the victims and the family/friends <br />of the victims, and I felt it needed to be made known. <br />Wal-Mart is offering the use of their store computers to post <br />messages regarding the well-being of the victims, and to search for <br />family members or loved ones. <br />You can go online at <br /> https://ecs.wal-mart.com/CrisisComm/ <br />and post and search messages. For those that don't have access to <br />computers/internet and don't have a public library open on the <br />weekends or that has computer/internet access, this is a godsend.<br /><br /><br />This service is also available in any Wal-Mart Store, SAM'S CLUB, <br />Neighborhood Market, or Distribution Center. Anyone in the affected <br />area can go to their local store and post a message regarding their <br />well-being. <br />Please click the link above to search for information regarding loved <br />ones in the affected area.<br />You may not like em, but they are helping out all they can.

how come it has taken several days for this offer of charity to be offered? would have thought that it would be last Tuesday judging from the Medias expectations!
