Need Information, Eska 7.5

Hi, I have an Eska 7.5 motor that I'm trying to get together. The thing was a basket case, and is practically ready to go.

However, I need the water tube, ES36492, which is no longer available. It fits into the pump, and has a flare or flange at the top. Since this part wasn't included, I've no idea of exactly what it looks like. whether it's straight, has a bend, or what the flare/flange looks like.

If anyone could provide me with a picture or measurements, I'm sure I could make a suitable part. All I really need to know is the length and whether it's just a standard flare like I could make with a flaring tool.

I could also use the shift dog that mounts shift lever shaft, if anyone happens to have a dead motor laying around.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this happens to be one of my better motors to date.

Thanks,
Big Muddy

Re: Need Information, Eska 7.5

Do you have the model number for your Eska? If so, we can find the year and equivalent Sears version of it, and you'll be able to see exploded parts views on www.searspartdirect.com.

You might be able to fabricate a water tube for it, but it may the be best thing to find another one to cannibalize for parts. There are a ton of those floating around, most in the Sears version, which is identical.

On that outboard, the water is only used to cool the exhaust in the outboard's leg, not the engine, so it's a little less critical than in a water-cooled version, so seeing the water tube should help you.

Finally, have you checked with www.certifiedpartscorp.com. If not, go there and call the phone number there. They bought all the remaining Eska parts from the company when it folded, so they may be of assistance.

Also, www.tcoutboard.com probably has one of your models in their parts heap. They could supply the water tube, no doubt, since there are so many of those outboard that have given up the ghost.

Thank you.

Certified Parts had all of the parts I was looking for, including the water tube that wasn't supposed to be available anymore.

Pleasant people to deal with at the same time.

Good deal. I'm glad you found your parts. Those folks were helpful to me, too, when I was fixing an Eska-based outboard.
