NEED INFO PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can any one help me by telling me some kind of info on a 1963 evinrude 5.5hp outboard Like the weight, prop size or how to start it and keep it runing? I found it in the back of my grandpas garage and he told me i could have it. So i Took it home put it in a 55 gallon barel of water and it started right up but then it died right away. took it apard and the coils were craked so i bought two new ones. but Havent had time to put them in yet.<br />Any help?

first get a manual fuel/oil mix 24:1 new water pump, clean carb, new plugs

Notice where the coils sit upon the aluminum armature plate. There is a very slight bevel there.<br /><br />The metal vertical portions of the coil (the yoke) must align with the inside edge of those bevels in order to have the proper clearance from the flywheel magnets.

Don't know exactly, but about 60 lb. Pick it up and weigh it and yourself, then put it down and weigh yourself. The difference is the weight of the outboard.
