I have a 1986 calkins trialer I spun a bearing, bought a hub kit but the wrong size just to get me home is the axle size 1 1/16 on both inner and outer bearing or is it 1 1/16 x 1 3/8 on the inner brearing. I cant take the inner bearing off the old bearing seazed on the shaft and the other wheel (other side) the bearings are also seazed I want to buy the parts ahead of time this way i can drop the boat in the lake and the fix my trailer at the ramp with the boat off the trailier

I would put the Boat and trailer on a hard surface, stone or paved, jack it up, take the hub off and have it measure. If you support the axel with a couple 4 x 4's it won't go anywhere. And if you run into any snags it's alot easyer if your home.

Sea,

I take it you live alone, or the wife is like mine and figures all that pounding outside it me "Just Working".

Once you recover from your injuries and are ready to try it again. Use some JACKSTANDS and place the trailer on them. Then remove as much of the hub assembly as possible. Take a 2x4 or 2x2 and using it like a punch, tap the back of the hub. Alternate from one side to the other and top to bottom. This should do the trick. Also spray the back of the hub before starting this proccess with a good penetrating oil.

If all else fails get a torch! You can either warm it up and tap it off or cut it off. Make sure you don't scar the spindle.....

Sorry to hear about your mishap.....
On a 1986 trailer with Two(2) Siezed bearings... I'd go buy a New Complete Axle... Hubs,+ All....
