Hey Guys.....New here, and have a couple of questions....

I am in the process of rigging twin BF150 Hondas on my 24 ft Triton .....we have hung the motors and have it all wired up, and last night we tried to give it a run.....these motors haven't been run in a couple of years, and were taken off a boat in good running condition....they are 2007 year models, and have 71 hours on them....

The problem is, when we fired them off, it would just turn over, but not fire....sounds and acts like the kill switch is actuated, but with these motors and harnesses, it looks like just plug and play, and it looks like all is plugged up right. Both motors sound the same, turn over but no fire.

We are going to pull a plug tonight to see if there is actually fire to the plugs.

We were also wondering if we should audibly hear the fuel pumps when we key the switch.

Now we are doing this without everything actually mounted up, we wanted to see if they would fire....does the tachs need to be plugged in for the engines to fire ?.....and does the Binnacle need to be hooked up completely on both ends to achieve fire....?

We are close, but stumped.....any help or tips to look for is appreciated....

I have -0- experience on these bigger engines, but on the smaller stuff I am familiar with, when the ign. is turned on, the fuel pump should run for 2 seconds, then shut off.
