Anyone:
I need help estimiating the cost of replacing my blown 1989 VRO JOhnson motor with a 2004 Mercury saltwater EFI. I can get a good deal on the motor. The motor comes with nothing except tilt and trim, but if the conversion costs is too great I am going to skip it.
I understand I will need at least the following, right?:
1. A new control box with tilt/trim (Shifter) ~ $300
- I have quicksilver today for my Johnson with the key built-in
2. An oil tank and hose ~ $100
3. Wiring Harness ~ $200
4. New cabling to control box ~ $100
5. New key assembly with choke ~ $100
Am I missing anything?
