NEED HELP

I have a 70hp Johnson.When I am out fishing and I stop for a period of time with the engine in the down position it will not start up.<br /> If I leave the engine up it will start just fine.<br /> Any imfo on this subject that may be the cause of this problem.<br /> Thanks

What happens if you pump the primer bulb a few times before restarting?<br /><br />A bad anti-siphon valve in the tank pickup will allow fuel to siphon back to the tank.<br /><br />On the other hand, a poorly set float level might allow flooding of the engine.

It is fully primed,so if I raise the motor in the up position it will start after a few minuites.<br /> Thanks JB
