Hey all, 1986 120 Evinrude
After 2 hours on the lake and returning to slip I lifted the motor. The prop was tight with weeds which I removed, it then spun freely but makes a metal on metal tick at the same spot in one full turn of the prop. It sounds like the prop is nicking something as it spins but it is hitting nothing.
I just received the boat back after having a lower unit reseal and the drive shaft was replaced with a used one to due to the chrome finish coming off. The prop sun freely then with no noise until today.
I did not hit bottom that I am aware of, other than plowing through some really choppy and weedy water I can't recall anything else.
Any thoughts?
