Re: need help with tach 50 honda

I have just done the same with a BF45. I bought a tach (second hand) off a Honda dealer, and asked about pole settings. He said all Hondas use the same pole settings, so the tach is not adjustable. Mine was previously on a 90hp.

I cannot help really, as mine seems to work ok (only run in a tank so far), idle at 900-1000. Wiring as you stated, grey/grey, black/black, and black-yellow/black-yellow. I made a mistake, tach b-y to control harness yellow-blue
, but corrected it before running!

Welcome aboard! I reckon you must be my side of the pond? grey/gray!

Hope this is of some help,
