Any ideas why this engine does not have a thermostat housing on the side cover? It's a two-cylinder. Wisconsin label. Weird. I was thinking it had a 9.8 cover and some other power head underneath.
Any ideas other than after market wrench-head? The covers are nice and clean and the paint is complete. It appears it never had a thermostat on it.
I'm gonna need some water pump parts and I want to be sure of which I speak.

If you look in the parts list at the reference I gave you, you will note that they refer to thermostat and non-thermostat engines. Obviously yours does not have one.
