Need help with remote control Evinrude 9.9 setup

Hello I'm new to the forum, I have a 1992 Evinrude 9.9. I'm trying to get it set up as all remote, shift, throttle, start, steering. I have a couple of questions. In the remote control kit there is a screw for a throttle stop. Not sure where it and it's spring goes.

Anyone have suggestions for a temp gauge and sending unit also?

Thank you and I'm sure I'll have more questions later

Put up a pic of the screw. Is it the screw with the pin through it?

This is the adapter kit for the 9.9 rude remote. Is it any of these parts?

#1 and 14. Instructions say screw in to threaded flange under stator plate, along with a really bad picture. I have everything from that kit except the kill switch.

I am making a wiring harness from a big red plug extension cord. I haven't found where you would attach the purple wire on to the engine,

As far as the steering kit as going to make something to attach it the the main engine on the boat.

look under the stator plate, should be a tab with a threaded hole in it. You have the harness off of a larger engine. you probably don't need the purple wire.

Purple wire would go to electric choke I believe so you might need to purchase the choke solenoid and linkage.

I believe that screw is so you can adjust idle before you hook up the throttle cable.

Tiller throttle adjustment must get bypassed I'm assuming. I know where that screw goes on a 25 but not sure on the 9.9

I have the all the choke parts would like to buy a hard wire linkage but haven't found one yet, but have the cable linkage. I believe purple and white goes to the choke.

I'll look again for the treaded tab under the stator plate. Is it on the block or stator plate

This video is informative but doesn't address that screw. I have a newer style 9.9 so I'll peek at it later and try and find the hole it goes in. On the 25 there is a bracket on the water jacket side and then pushes on the timer plate.

This video shows you can get a primer instead of of a choke to and I would go that route if the option presented itself.

Purple wire goes to the choke, the ground is the body of the solenoid ....white wire does not go to the choke.

This is a 2000 which basically should be a match to yours other than mines a pull start.

The only possible thing I could see is it replaces this screw.

do you think change this screw out. I didn't notice it before. This one looks like it limits idle speed.

Or remove rubber plug this one would limit high speed

The 92 was the last of the " old style " models.-----Many linkage changes on the 93 to end of production models..

I always thought it was 91 to 92 but maybe 9.9 is different.

I do not believe its for the bump stop in your second picture. First picture I can't read well.

In my pictures, the picture where you could see my hand, the area is just behind my pinky.

To tell you the truth, id just install and see how it runs....might end up being obvious somewhere.

The 9.9 / 15 HP models changed in 1993.---Different cowlings , different linkages, different recoil, slight difference internally in lower unit and bigger pistons.

That is it. Forget about finding electric choke parts. Adapt a primer off of a different motor
