that looks more like a Yamaha number-what color is it ?

Looks like original color is tan or gold. thanks.any thing else to look for?

?? dipstick for crankcase oil ?? Honda never made a 2 stroke....some old Evinrudes were gold color ...so were the older Suzukis...try looking on some of the parts for labels or part numbers

Hey Davexx, I just recently bought a 1985 40hp Mariner, made by Yamaha, but the lower unit is bad, Having a hard time trying to find one to fit, could you tell me what german website you found your motor on and any leads you might have about these motors?? kjhamilton@motivaenterprises.com<br />Thanks<br />Kevin
