Need help with a part for Tohatsu 5 h.p MFB

Serial number is 10822. The "dog" that engages the flywheel when the rope is pulled is worn down. It is a plastic part. I can't seem to locate the part. This is a older Tohatsu with a metal internal tank. Got any ideas as to what part number this is and where I can find it.

So your actual model is probably M5B. Keep an eye on the old tank, as it is NLA. The very early version of the recoil is NLA. After serial 44000, this is the recoil used. The assemblies do interchange. The Which part do you need?

That part is not found on the new recoil starter, surely NLA territory. Will need to make one, take it to a machine shop and duplicate it exact same in hard plastic or alum material. Prefer one zillion times the older pawl than the new double small pawl (1-5 part seen on diagram )found on newer OB's.
