Need help with 25HP Evinrude

I recently bought an aluminum boat with a mid 70's 25HP Evinrude. The seller started the motor when I bought it, but I did not pay attention to how he worked the choke and Rich/Lean knob.<br />The choke pulls out and then goes right back in. I have never had a motor with a choke like this.<br />How do I use this type of choke to start this motor and where should the Rich/Lean knob be set.<br /><br />Thanks...

To choke your motor pull the knob out let the motor run a little to get it warm then push the knob back in. As far as your rich and lean setting turn the knob all the way in until lightly seated then turn back out one to one and half turn start turning rich lean setting back in until the motor starts cutting out then start turning it back out until you get the best rpm,s out of it at idiling speed<br /><br />------------------
